Educational tour in the Dzūkija National Park

We invite you to an exciting educational tour of Dzūkija National Park. First, you arrive from Vilnius to Dzūkija by train. The route will start by an active hike from Marcinkonys towards Čepkeliai Marsh in a company with an experienced naturalist who will share with you knowledge about the natural and cultural heritage of the region.

The route (13 km) winds through the picturesque surroundings of Marcinkonys. You will see dunes overgrown with pine forests and get acquainted with the vegetation of the marsh and the forest. You will have an opportunity to see Čepkeliai Marsh, one of the most valuable objects of the natural heritage of our country. The vast tract of the misty marsh dotted with wooded islands will open up before you from the observation tower, and a wooden path will lead you to the observation deck.

We can adjust the tour program according to your wishes.

For an additional fee, we can also include a visit to the ethnographic museum, a candle making educational activity, tasting of culinary heritage dishes, a lesson in the nature school, as well as cycling, kayaking, and paddleboarding trips. Based on your wishes, there is a possibility to have an overnight stay in a hotel or in the nature school in Marcinkonys.

The price of the tour includes services of a guide and the Dzūkija National Park visitor’s ticket.
